Salawat: Honoring the Prophet and His Pure Progeny

Hawzah News Agency- The Holy Prophet (pbuh and his family) said:

مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَى آلِي لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِمِائَةِ عَامٍ.

Whoever sends blessings (salawat) upon me and does not send blessings upon my family (Ahlul-Bayt) will not perceive the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be found from a distance of five hundred years’ journey.
